John Richardson Jr., M.D.

John Richardson Jr., M.D. received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama after attending Auburn University for his undergraduate degree. He did his internship and his residency in General Surgery at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Richardson completed his surgical training with a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital. In 1989 he and his family moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he joined Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons. His Board Certifications include The American Board of Surgery 1988 and The American Board of Thoracic Surgery 1990.
